HR Policies and Procedures for 2022

As 2021 comes to a close, employers should be reviewing their internal HR matters on an annual basis, including employee manuals (if they have one), as well as other internal policies and procedures. An employee manual is no longer an option, but an absolute necessity.

At a minimum, an employee manual should include the following:
  • “At will” Statement and Disclaimer
  • Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Policy Against Unlawful Harassment
  • Wage & Hour Issues
  • Leaves of Absence
  • Drug Testing (if applicable)
  • Social Networking & Electronic Communications
  • Non-solicitation (if applicable)
  • Employee Acknowledgment, including signature
  • At-Will Statement and Disclaimer
In today’s regulatory world (EEOC, Department of Labor, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, etc.,) a well-drafted employee manual is no longer an option. Now is the time to review all HR matter before we enter 2022.
