The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) recently released a revised “Know Your Rights” poster (dated June 27, 2023) to include information about the protections under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act
On December 29, 2022, President Biden signed the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) into law. The PWFA, effective as of June 27, 2023, also requires covered employers to post a notice describing the law’s protections.
The laws that require covered employers to post the “Know Your Rights” poster do not provide a specific deadline for replacing the current poster with the revised “Know Your Rights” poster. Employers should remove the old poster and display the new one within a reasonable amount of time.
