Overview of New Employment Laws for 2024

As we enter 2024, there are new employment laws that every employer must be aware of. Some of those law changes include:

• • Changes in the paid sick leave law
  • Revised rules regarding I-9 documents
  • Amended regulations regarding applicants’ criminal records
  • A new requirement for workplace violence prevention plans
  • Updates regarding covenants not to compete and other restrictive covenants

• The EEOC continued its enforcement regarding:
