Biography
Kimberly Whidden’s practice areas are diverse and demonstrate a robust proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents. Ms. Whidden has advised clients in a wide variety of practice areas regarding residential and commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, estate planning, and matters that involve insurance coverage. Ms. Whidden’s expertise extends to corporate law, including the formation and governance of entities, such as limited liability companies, homeowners’ associations, and partnerships. In the area of civil litigation, Ms. Whidden has substantial experience, which includes attending hearings, depositions, and mediations across state and federal courts, as well as handling a broad spectrum of practice areas such as Title VII claims and ERISA claims.
Ms. Whidden’s commitment to excellence is evident in her representation of lenders in general asset recovery, addressing distressed or nonperforming loans, lender liability suits, and actions to enforce creditor rights. In addition, Ms. Whidden is well-versed in drafting compelling briefs presented to the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and Alabama Supreme Court. Ms. Whidden’s focus in state and federal courts revolves around defending employment law claims and insurance coverage disputes.
